Santa Claus is coming to Tirana? Yes, at Tirana International Airport everything is possible! In the period December 24-26, 2008, visitors and passengers
can meet Santa Claus there, when he will be telling stories of his long journeys and distributing little presents to children. On each of these days he
will be at the airport from 11.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and from 6.30 to 7.30 p.m.
With this initiative, HOCHTIEF AirPort Retail (HTAR), Tirana International Airport as well as all retail and gastronomy units at the airport – gathered
under the name AirPlaza – wish all airport guests a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. At the same time, the event sponsors would like to thank
their customers for the trust shown to them during the past year.
As master concessionaire, HTAR bears overall responsibility for Tirana International Airport's retail and catering complex, which operates under the AirPlaza
brand. It provides advice and support for the retailers and ensures an attractive shopping atmosphere with a high-grade mix of international brands and regional
products. With the support of Tirana International Airport, HTAR stages several events in the terminal.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of airport manager HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH, HTAR bundles the company's competencies in airport retail business. At Tirana International
Airport, HTAR holds the master concession for all retail, duty-free and catering business. HOCHTIEF AirPort acquired 47 percent of the shares of
the airport company Tirana International Airport SH.P.K. in 2005 and since then has been responsible for operational management.
